I have a friend who loves to ballroom dance. She has been doing it for years. She has also been trying to convince me to try it for years.
She finally broke me down last week and convinced me to attend a class. We are going tonight and I have to admit my apprehension. It isn't the part about dancing in general. I love to dance. It is the style of dancing that has me a little freaked out.
So, this evening I will strap on my heels, get dolled up and try my best not to make an ass of myself.
Wish me luck! Ha!
Ballroom Dancing
In the Works
I have always been great at planning parties. It is a fun little hobby of mine. I can throw a hell of a kids party and I can make your next gathering with just the adults something people will write home about. I think I do this so well because I am just a kid at heart and I love to have a good time.
I am planning my next party right now. I am not a major fan of Halloween, but that is when I am going having my next soiree. I have the idea, but I am a little stuck on the theme. I am going to be doing a murder mystery. I don't want to do the exact off shoot of Clue or Agatha Christie styles, but I would like some sort of overall theme. It helps with setting the mood for the evening. One of my friends suggested a red carpet/movie premiere, but I figure there is enough scandal in Hollywood that I really do not need to imitate it.
I will just have to search around the next few days and see where inspiration hits.

Feeling the Luuuuuuv!
A lovely lady, Nicolette, with her Head in The Clouds has done some prop sharing with me. She has done me the honor of nominating me with this....
Cool, right? I cannot thank her enough! Seeing as how my blog is relatively new, it gives me a warm and fuzzy feeling that someone appreciates something in me right out of the gate, so to speak.
So now I am going to post the rules and then make sure I am following them:
The Rules:
1. Thank the person who nominated you for this award.
2. Copy the logo and place it on your blog.
3. Link to the person who nominated you for this award.
4. Name 7 things about yourself that people might find interesting. (see below)
5. Nominate 7 Kreativ Bloggers.
6. Post links to the 7 blogs you nominate.
7. Leave a comment on each of the blogs letting them know they have been nominated.
7 things about myself that people might find interesting...Hmmmm
1 - On any given day I am reading no less than 4 books (sometimes more) but of the "at least four" have to be a science fiction, a classic, a book on photography and a non fiction research/educational book.
2 - I write poetry and have been published in several venues.
3 - I am a photographer.
4 - I never thought I would be a good enough mother to my daughter.
5 - I want to learn how to sketch and draw, but am afraid to try because I feel my OCD will interfere with completing any pictures.
6 - I am a hard core Xbox 360 gamer, but no one in my family knows. I have 43,000 achievement points and can kick ass so thoroughly in a game that I have made grown men cry.
7 - I feel that I am wasting my artistic abilities by not working in the writing or photography fields because I don't know that anyone in my life will feel that it is a good use of my time nor that it will be the "right" job for a woman with a child to support.
Well, wasn't that fun? Actually it took me forever to figure those out. I should have put for one of them that I suck at talking about myself unless asked direct questions. Oh well. Now on to the fun part....
My nominations
Kle at accidentally, kle
Cooper over at Lying Bastard
Julochka at moments of perfect clarity
Brooke because she is great Playing Grown Up
Carolyn and her Stepford Dreams
Winoboy aka Dean and the things we speak about
and last but not least you need An Apple A Day
I will be leaving comments on their blogs shortly to give them the creative props they deserve.
Again, thank you Nicolette for sharing the Kreativ love!
